What does living a life full of wonder mean to you?

Below you will find ten promises for a wonder-full life. Examine them. Hold them up to your heart to see which ones resonate with you. What would you add to this list? What would you modify or take away? Please share in the comments below as we all learn from one another on this journey of making our best lives a priority.
Ten Promises for a Wonder-full Life

Ten Promises for a Wonder-full Life

I promise to acknowledge the moments and experiences that inspire awe in each and every day.

Merriam-Webster defines awe as “a strong feeling of fear or respect and also wonder“. Taking time to acknowledge these awe-filled moments and experiences can bring about a renewed and heightened awareness of wonder in our lives.

I promise to practice gratitude daily - acknowledging the people and experiences in my life for which I am grateful.
Setting aside time in your daily routine to actively give thanks can contribute to your sense of wellbeing. It also allows you to marvel at the goodness around you on a daily basis - focussing on the positive and drawing more of that attitude towards you.

I promise to serve.
There is so much to be learned when we cultivate a mindset of being in service to others. Imagine switching your mindset to seeking out creative ways that you can help those around you rather than looking for the ways your interactions will benefit you.

I promise to show up and give 110%.
When we show up 110% and live the life before us, we are not waiting around and hoping, we are not making excuses, we are not playing small. Instead, when we show up and give 110% we are making choices, we are moving forward, we are accepting responsibility, we are growing into who we are meant to be. We are FULLY engaged in living lives of significance, in learning from our mistakes, in becoming the best versions of ourselves.

I promise to cultivate joy.
A joyful spirit goes a long way in terms of living into a life full of wonder. Develop a laughter practice. Seek out the moments that bring you JOY. Actively cultivate this joyful spirt in yourself and in those around you.

I promise to cultivate my curiosity towards others - being truly interested and engaged.
Putting down the cell phone, logging out of social media, really being PRESENT in your conversations with friends, family and strangers allows you to ENGAGE on a deeper level. Be curious. Ask questions. Learn from those around you.

I promise to seek out new experiences and new perspectives as I grow into my best self.
New experiences and perspectives help us to expand our world and grow as individuals. They help us to become more understanding and compassionate as well as less stuck in routine. Actively searching out newness helps to maintain a sense of wonder as life stays fresh and exciting.

I promise to face inhibition and fear head on.
Living from a place of inhibition and fear can leave you stuck - playing small in your own life. Take a closer look at your inhibitions and fears. Resolve to push past them and revel in the wonder of a life full of possibility.

I promise to cultivate and acknowledge my childlike playfulness.
Rekindling our playful nature can help to lighten the stress of everyday life and help us develop resiliency at the obstacles thrown in our way. It can add to the sense of FUN that we experience each day. Tip: Spending time and playing with children can help to set your own playful inner child free again!

I promise to feed my soul.
What are the things that feed your soul? For some it is time in nature, for others it’s an evening at the theater or concert hall. For some it is time with grandkids and for others it is time with grandparents. For some it is a vacation on the beach and for others it’s a backpacking adventure. Maybe it’s a spa day or a fancy dinner out once in awhile - or maybe it is curling up by the fire with a cup of tea and reading a really good book. Whatever your soul food may be, remember to partake often and be generous with yourself.

Are you ready to commit to living into your best life and adding more wonder to your daily routine? Feel free to comment below and share the promises you are making as you pledge to create your wonder-full life!

Perfect promises. I subscribe to most of them, especially giving back.

I live my life accordingly and have no trouble fulfilling these promises...except the last one. Carving out me time and finding someone/something that touches my soul again is hard. Do I let go, try harder? Reading this helps reinvigorate me and remind me that caring for my inner self is important too! Thank you 😊

Thanks for sharing Joan! I'm leaving you with a question/challenge: What one thing can you commit to doing in the next three days that will give you a generous dose of "soul food"?

These are wonder-full! I especially like cultivating joy and childlike playfulness. The playfulness is something I only recently discovered is key to that joy that children exhibit so well.
